Well not in those exact words, but you know…
I just simply told them “I need you talk to yous” which triggered a variety of questions.
- What have you done?
- Was it illegal?
- NO MORE ANIMALS.
- No one’s moving in… ARE YOU MOVING OUT?
- Are you pregnant? (my favorite, the ice-breaker)
So I just blurted “I’m gay” which resulted in…
- Do you have someone for us to meet?
- DOES YOUR BOYFRIEND KNOW YOU’RE GAY? ~Nice one, Dad!~
I actually wasn’t going to tell them until I’ve met someone because I just feel in these situations, you have no idea how someone may act. But above everything else, what’s most important is that you’re happy and I wasn’t happy. But now, I think I just might be getting there.
